Clarkson reveals goal delight

Motherwell goal hero David Clarkson has revealed his delight following the stunning 4-2 win over Hibernian in Wednesday's CIS Cup third round.

Clarkson scored the first of Well's goals in a victory which has been rewarded with a quarter-final tie against Rangers at Fir Park.

"I was delighted with the goal, especially given it was a header as I don't get too many from the air," he told the club's official website.

"We're playing well at the moment and hopefully we can build on it.

"I've been to a final with the club before and would love to get back there.

"Personally speaking, I am delighted with the way things have gone so far.

"Certainly getting the good start has helped a lot and the wee changes made by the new gaffer have benefited me."
