Brown to continue in Well hot-seat
27 Jan 2010 - 19:25:23
Motherwell have confirmed the permanent appointment of interim manager Craig Brown on a contract that runs until the end of the season.
The former Scotland manager was handed the managerial reins at Fir Park in December after the shock departure of former boss Jim Gannon.
Brown had been out of club management since leaving Championship side Preston North End in 2004 and was initially placed in charge on a short-term basis.
However, after back-to-back league wins over St Mirren and Kilmarnock, he has been named in the hot-seat until the end of the campaign.
Brown will continue to be assisted by former Scotland number two Archie Knox.
"The club are delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Brown as permanent manager," read a brief statement.
"Brown and his assistant Archie Knox have agreed an initial deal until the end of the current season."
