All not Well for Lasley

Motherwell have been rocked by the news that midfielder Keith Lasley won't play again this season after suffering cruciate knee ligament damage.

The 27-year-old midfielder was stretchered off during Well's 1-0 SPL victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle and subsequent scans have revealed the full extent of the injury.

"It's a real body blow. Keith has been excellent for us," admitted Well boss Maurice Malpas.

"It's a big blow for him first of all and it's also a blow for the club.

"He is one of our more experienced players and had formed an excellent partnership with Brian Kerr in the middle of the park.

"It's a possibility that we might need to bring someone in and it also looks as though we will have to change our thinking in terms of what our priorities are now."
