McKeown woe for Morton
Morton have been dealt a blow in the build-up to their opening Championship clash at home to Falkirk after summer signing Frank McKeown picked up a knee injury in training.
Thomas O'Ware is missing with an ankle problem and Joe McKee is again absent with a hamstring problem with Michael Tidser and Peter MacDonald rated as having only a 50/50 chance of featuring.
The Greenock side will be presented with their League One title-winning flag beforehand.
Manager Jim Duffy said: "It will be a moment to reflect on last season but very quickly we need to switch on and be ready to face a very good Falkirk side."
Falkirk skipper David McCracken and striker Botti Biabi have returned to training after knocks but a lack of recent game time could see them miss out at Cappielow.
Manager Peter Houston watched the Greenock side win 5-0 against Elgin last Saturday and he said: "Both teams will be looking to get their season off to a flying start.
"Morton looked really strong last Saturday once they got ahead. This will be a tough afternoon if we allow them to play like that.
"We had won 5-0 the night before against East Stirling and if we can create chances like we did in that game I will be pleased."
