Morton 0-2 Ross County: Match Report

County enjoy away-day success

A strike from Stuart Kettlewell and a Colin Stewart own-goal handed Ross County a 2-0 win at Morton.

An even first period brought very few chances as both teams cancelled each other out.

But Kettlewell broke the deadlock after 34 minutes with the first real chance of the game when the midfielder converted from close range following Colin McMenamin's cross.

Morton battled throughout the second half but struggled to craft opportunities, while Iain Vigurs and Richard Brittain both came close to doubling the visitors' lead with long-range efforts, only to be denied by Stewart.

His own-goal three minutes into injury time sealed County's win with the goalkeeper putting through his own net after doing well to parry Kurtis Byrne's original effort on goal.
