Ten-man Morecambe draw yet again

In a game that saw both sides reduced to 10 men with two red cards in three minutes, both teams missed chances to take three points. The visitors, searching for their fifth successive league win, went ahead after just seven minutes with young midfielder Joss Labadie firing a 25-yard free-kick past Barry Roche after Andy Parrish was penalised. Morecambe hit back on 23 minutes with a fine move as Craig Stanley found Phil Jevons and his first time flick played in former Shrewsbury man Stewart Drummond, who beat Steve Phillips with a cool finish. The Shrimps went close in the second half with Ian Craney forcing Steve Phillips into a decent save while at the other end Dave Hibbert blazed a golden chance over from six yards. The sendings off came for Morecambe's Danny Adams, a straight red for a foul on Jake Robinson, and Shrewsbury's Labadie for a second yellow card.
