Stanley injury blow for Shrimps

Stanley was injured during the 1-1 draw with Lincoln on Tuesday, and Shrimps physio Dave Edge has confirmed the full extent of the injury. It is a big blow for manager Sammy McIlroy, who has also lost fellow midfielder Fraser McLachlan for the next few weeks with a hamstring injury. McIlroy told the club's official website: "It is really bad news for us because Craig has been excellent this season. "His set pieces have been behind many of our goals and he has linked up well in midfield with Stewart Drummond and Fraser McLachlan. "I've never known injuries like it before. It is soul destroying for everyone at the club at the moment but the lads are giving us absolutely everything."
