Shrimps target defender deal

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy is closing in on a number of targets as he seeks to strengthen his squad.
A new right-back is a priority following Adam Yates' exit from Christie Park, with talks having started with McIlroy's number one target.
Shrimps vice chairman Graham Hodgson told The Visitor: "We have spoken to the player and his agent.
"However, our valuation of his worth at this stage is different from theirs and we are a bit away from doing a deal.
"We are still talking and hope we can come to an agreement, because he is a player Sammy wants to bring in, but it is far from certain."
