Shrimps snare keeper Jalal

Morecambe have snapped up transfer-listed Peterborough United goalkeeper Shwan Jalal on loan.

The 24-year-old will remain with the Shrimps until the end of the season as he bids to kick-start a career which has stalled since joining Posh from Woking 12 months ago.

Jalal has been allowed to leave London Road after promotion-chasing Peterborough signed former Morecambe loanee Joe Lewis earlier in the week.

"I am delighted to have him because I wanted us to have some stability in that department," boss Sammy McIlroy told the club's official website.
