Shrimps snap up McStay

Former Leeds United youngster Henry McStay has signed for Morecambe until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old right-back played for Halifax Town and Portadown after being released by Leeds and was most recently with Royal Antwerp.

Shrimps boss Sammy McIlroy told Morecambe's official website: "Henry's come highly recommended by Warren Joyce, who is at Antwerp, the same club where we signed Damien Allen from.

"We need to have cover in all positions in this squad and he'll provide competition as well for players such as Adam Yates.''
