Shrimps seal Mullin swoop

Morecambe boss Sammy McIroy has persuaded Accrington Stanley's veteran striker Paul Mullin to join the Shrimps.

The 35-year-old has been a stalwart for Accrington over the last decade but was allowed to join Bradford City on loan towards the end of last season.

McIlroy said of his latest capture: "I've been looking at signing Paul since pre-season and I'm delighted that the deal's finally been achieved.

"He's a player who's always impressed me and I'm sure he'll be a tremendous addition to the squad.

"He'll bring us depth up front and vital experience. But he'll also add something new to the squad and will give us a different dimension to the way we play.''
