Shrimps response pleases McIlroy

The result came on the back of a dismal 2-0 defeat at the weekend against struggling Cheltenham and kept the Shrimps firmly in the hunt for the League Two play-offs. McIlroy said: "It was a great result and a great performance. I was particularly delighted with the response after Saturday, though. "We were so poor at the weekend but the lads reacted brilliantly. "I thought about changing the back four around. We did that, but all round it was an excellent showing. "I thought we limited Bury to scarcely any clear-cut chances, so I've got to be pleased with the work-rate."
