Shrimps play down Duffy rumours

The Shrimps are currently under a transfer embargo having broken a salary cap that restricts teams in League Two spending any more than 60% of their income on wages. It has been mooted by local media that Duffy is set to join the club shortly, but vice-chairman Graham Hodgson has rubbished such rumours. He told the club's official website: "The embargo relates to all signings, be they transfers or loan deals, so Mark will not be joining us on Monday." But a move may materialise in the future, with Hodgson adding: "We are having talks and are looking at ways to get the embargo lifted but those talks are ongoing at the moment."
