Football League newcomers Morecambe have made their first move into the summer transfer market, snapping up Blackpool striker Matthew Blinkhorn on a two-year contract.
The 22-year-old impressed while on loan with the Shrimps last season, scoring eight goals in 12 games as Morecambe won promotion via the play-offs.
Vice-chairman Graham Hodgson told the club's official website: "Matt made a significant contribution towards our success with his goals and he caught the eye of a lot of people here.
"On the field he worked extremely hard and gave his all, while off it he fitted in tremendously well with the rest of the squad.
"The supporters really took to him because of his attitude and we are delighted to have secured his services for the next two years."
Meanwhile, defender Danny Adams has also penned a two-year deal after joining the Shrimps on a short-term basis in January.
