Shrimps hit by McLachlan blow

McLachlan twisted his knee in the opening-day 2-2 draw against Hereford and had to be substituted after just 12 minutes. A scan has revealed ligament damage and luckless McLachlan is set for a long spell on the sidelines. Skipper Jim Bentley makes a welcome return from a shoulder injury but Wayne Curtis (knee) and Garry Hunter (groin) could miss out again. On-loan Huddersfield striker Phil Jevons is hoping to shake off a bout of flu which ruled him out of the Carling Cup defeat at Preston in midweek.
