Shrimps eyeing up Connerton

Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy has admitted he is keeping tabs on young Lancaster City striker Jordan Connerton.
The Shrimps have watched the 20-year-old City striker on several occasions along with several other clubs including Stockport, Bury and Crewe thought to be interested in the front man.
Connerton has scored almost 30 goals already for the Giant Axe-based side this season and McIlroy has already spoke with his boss Tony Hesketh over a possible deal.
Speaking to The Visitor, McIlroy said: "I have had a chat with Tony and spoken about Jordan, but a lot of clubs are interested in him and we will just have to see what happens in the future."
