A full-strength Shrimps side, missing only injured captain Jim Bentley, were undone by Jason Walker's fine 30-yard strike midway through the first half. Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy will be looking for better from his side when they entertain Hereford next Saturday on the opening weekend of the League season.
