The in-form Shrimps, who currently lie seventh in League Two, host Accrington on Boxing Day and then travel to leaders Rochdale two days later. Then comes a trip to Macclesfield on January 2 and McIlroy said: "It is a really busy and difficult period for us. "But if we can maintain the type of form we have been showing lately and pick up some more points we will be well placed come the new year and we'll take it from there."
