Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy is "searching high and low" in a bid to strengthen his squad early next week. The Shrimps' three-game winning run ended in a 2-0 defeat at Stevenage on Saturday and McIlroy confirmed he was hoping to make at least one new signingfollowing the departure of winger Mark Duffy to Scunthorpe. McIlroy said: "I've been speaking to players and we're hoping to bring in at least one new face to cover for Mark Duffy's departure. "It's always a busy time of the year and a lot of phone calls do go on, but we have a couple of targets. "I'd like to bring in someone for the trip to Hereford on Tuesday night to freshen things up a bit, but we'll just have to wait and see."
