The Shrimps shocked the Cherries with some stunning goals in their biggest ever Football League win. It was a win that took the Shrimps, who only won one of their opening 14 games of the campaign, into the play-off spots, much to McIlroy's delight. He said: "We were fantastic and our first three goals were absolutely out of this world. We knew Bournemouth were a good side and had a goal threat in Brett Pitman so we knew that we had to get at them early while keeping it tight at the back. "The lads did all that and more. We passed the ball around really well and you could see how much confidence our recent run has given us and I think all three of our opening goals could be a contender for goal of the season."
