Roche slams frustrating start

Morecambe captain Barry Roche has admitted his team have endured a frustrating start to the season. Morecambe were play-off semi-finalists last season but have struggled to get going in the current campaign, winning only three out of the first 13 games. Roche told The Visitor: "We are all frustrated because we know we have a squad that should be doing much better. "When we get it right and play like we did against Bradford and Shrewsbury we look a decent side but we are only playing in 20 minutes spells or so in most games and that is proving costly for us. "The good thing is that although we haven't had the best of starts we are still not too far off the pace. "I have played in League Two for a while now and know how tight it is. It is the hardest league to predict and everyone can beat everyone else. Things are still in our hands because if we go on a run we can put ourselves right back up there. We have had bad starts every year I've been here but I am sure things will improve."
