Jon arrived at Gigg Lane before the start of the 2004/05 season . This was his second spell with Bury as in February 2001 while on loan from Liverpool , Jon signed a permanent three year deal with the club . He never missed a game for the next 30 months and made 124 appearances scoring 24 goals . Then financial problems meant Bury could not offer Jon a new contract and he left Gigg Lane to join York City and then Huddersfield ., before rejoining the Shakers for his second spell at Gigg Lane .
