Burton came from behind to beat Morecambe 3-2 and register their first win of the campaign thanks to a late Greg Pearson penalty. The Brewers enjoyed a flying start when midfielder Aaron Webster made a perfectly-timed run to power home a 12-yard header from full-back Andy Corbett's cross in the first minute. But the visitors were quickly level as Andrew Fleming neatly tuned home a Darren Moss cross from eight yards. A bright start to the second half by Morecambe was rewarded with their second goal in the 51st minute. Phil Jevons' shot came back off the inside of a post but Chris Shuker was on hand to set up Fleming for another close-range finish. Craig Stanley went close to a third goal for the visitors, but Burton came back to level the scores in the 75th minute when Webster pounced from six yards after Morecambe failed to clear Lewis Young`s corner kick. Pearson struck the winner from the spot in the 81st minute after being bundled over by Paul Scott.
