Not good enough for McIlroy

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy was furious with his side's 2-1 home defeat and said he would be looking closely at his side ahead of this weekend's clash with Wycombe. Goals either side of the break from Hamza Bencherif and Tyrone Barnett gave the visitors the three points they fully deserved, although James Spencer netted a consolation goal for the Shrimps. He said: "I am bitterly disappointed with the result again at home. "Five or six players just didn't turn up and I will be looking very closely at my side now for the weekend. There are only a couple of players who can take any credit for their performance and I will make changes. "Perhaps the magnitude of Saturday's vital win at Barnet was too much for some players. That was a massive win for us and a big occasion but I am not going to make excuses. "That display was just not good enough and the players have to accept responsibility for that and make sure they produce better between now and the end of the season."
