Mullin faces late test

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy will assess the fitness of striker Paul Mullin ahead of the trip to Lancashire rivals Accrington. The former Stanley frontman is recovering from a knee injury and McIlroy admits the game may come too soon for him. Mullin was a substitute in last week's home defeat against Chesterfield but is short of match practice and McIlroy harbours concerns over his fitness. The Shrimps boss, who has no other major worries, said: "I'm sure Paul will be itching to play but it may be just a week too early for him because he's short of games and match fitness." Morecambe have yet to beat Stanley since joining the Football League and face an in-form Accrington outfit with six wins in their last seven matches.
