Morecambe transfer embargo lifted

The Football League have lifted the transfer embargo imposed on League Two side Morecambe. The embargo came into effect in January after wages at the club exceeded the maximum 60% annual income limit.The decision was made after the sale of the Shrimps' Christie Park ground to the supermarket chain Sainsbury's.Vice-chairman Graham Hodgson said: "We would like to thank the Football League for their sensible and pragmatic view of the situation."Morecambe have been hit by a series of lengthy injury .... read more
