Sol Campbell's first game for Notts County ended in defeat as Morecambe secured their first win of the season in thrilling fashion. Morecambe dominated the first half and took the lead when Jim Bentley headed home Ian Craney's left-wing corner. Craney was again the creator for the second goal, his free-kick converted by Paul Mullin at the near post.
