Duo in Shrimps frame

Midfielders Ryan Williams and Andrew Wright have an outside chance of returning to the Morecambe squad for the meeting with Wycombe.

Williams has been plagued by a hamstring injury while Wright has missed time with a groin problem and while both are nearing a comeback, this weekend's game may ultimately come too soon.

Winger Marcus Marshall, whose name has frequently been on the casualty list since he arrived in the summer, is still out with a knee problem, however.

The Shrimps are winless in their last three fixtures and boss Jim Bentley could consider giving Patrick Amond his first start, after leaving the striker on the bench in the previous two contests.

Wycombe will be boosted by the return of Matt Spring.

The experienced former Luton midfielder has overcome a calf problem which has sidelined him for the past month and is available to return to action for the trip.

Meanwhile, striker Dean Morgan is set to return to full training next week as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring injury and Kortney Hause (groin) will resume full training on Monday.

The Chairboys fans have also been handed another injury boost with the news that Jon-Paul Pittman's knee brace has been removed and he is expected to be back in three weeks.
