Shrimps sweating on duo

Winger Marcus Marshall and defender Chris Doyle are again doubtful for Morecambe's home clash with Fleetwood in Sky Bet League Two.

The duo sustained knocks playing for the reserves last week and missed the 2-0 defeat to Scunthorpe as a result.

That loss could prompt boss Jim Bentley into making changes with striker Kevin Ellison and midfielder Ryan Williams, both fit again following respective eye and hamstring injuries, likely to come into his thinking.

Midfielder Alex Kenyon is another who could force his way into the starting XI for a Shrimps side who have won just one of their previous eight games at the Globe Arena.

Fleetwood will have top scorer Antoni Sarcevic back from suspension.

The Cod Army, currently fourth in the Sky Bet League Two table, clearly missed their leading marksman when he served a one-game ban in the 2-0 home loss to Cheltenham at the weekend.

Defenders Nathan Pond and Junior Brown will come back into the equation too after being rested at the weekend due to the hectic fixture list Graham Alexander's side have had to negotiate.

Midfielder Jeff Hughes came through 90 minutes against the Robins following an ankle knock and has shown no adverse effects meaning just striker Jamille Matt, with an ankle injury of his own, occupies the sidelines.
