Shrimps struggling for Carlisle clash

Morecambe boss Jim Bentley has a depleted squad for the home clash with Carlisle after the midweek win against Stoke's Under-23 side came at a cost.

The Shrimps ended that match with 10 men after Aaron Wildig, Ryan Edwards, Alex Kenyon and Dean Winnard all went off injured.

Winnard pulled his groin, Kenyon has a knee injury, Edwards is nursing a dead leg and Wildig has severe bruising.

Michael Rose is suspended and Andy Fleming remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

Carlisle striker Charlie Wyke is a major doubt after being stretchered off during the midweek Checkatrade Trophy win against Blackburn.

Wyke sustained a knee injury soon after stepping off the bench and could leave boss Keith Curle with just two fit senior strikers in Jabo Ibehre Shaun Miller, who are expected to start up front.

Goalkeeper Max Crocombe made his first-team debut on Tuesday night, but is expected to make way for first-choice Mark Gillespie.

Curle has reported no other new injury concerns as his side bid to extend their club record of 11 games unbeaten at the start of a season.
