Shrimps to assess Marshall

Morecambe will once again run the rule over Marcus Marshall as they bid to extend their unbeaten at the Globe Arena in Sky Bet League Two when AFC Wimbledon visit.

The Shrimps, one of the division's surprise packages so far, have not tasted defeat in the league at home this season and valiantly fought back from a three-goal deficit to beat leaders Chesterfield in their last Globe Arena fixture.

Marshall, though, has been a mere spectator since August due to a troublesome hamstring problem with the winger being left frustrated since joining Jim Bentley's side this summer.

Bentley will once again have to do without defender Chris McCready (ankle) and striker Jack Redshaw (hip), although the latter continues to make excellent strides with an earlier-than-expected comeback due in the coming weeks.

AFC Wimbledon look set to be without Andy Frampton for the trip.

The defender missed last weekend's draw against Accrington with a back injury and manager Neal Ardley fears Saturday's trip will just come too soon.

Ardley was dealt a fresh injury blow this week when winger Chris Arthur went for an X-ray on the ankle injury he suffered after coming on as a sub against Stanley, and the results showed he has a hairline fracture which will keep him out for six to eight weeks.

Defender Will Antwi is not ready to return after hernia surgery but winger Kevin Sainte-Luce (hamstring) will be in the squad after another reserve run-out this week.
