Shots hold Shrimps in drab encounter Aldershot and Morecambe shared spoils by drawing 1-1 in this uninspiring game at the Globe Arena. Both goals came in the second half with Morecambe taking the lead six minutes after the break. Right-back Andy Holdsworth chose the perfect time to score his first Morecambe goal with a fine left-foot finish from 12 yards after cutting inside his marker. The Shrimps then held the upper hand with Andy Parrish firing just wide from 25 yards and Kevan Hurst testing Jamie Young. But against the run of play Aldershot levelled when Jermaine McGlashan crossed to the far post and substitute Alex Rodman curled an excellent right-foot effort past Barry Roche from an acute angle. Both teams had chances to win the game. Morecambe's Phil Jevons was denied by a superb reflex save from Young, while, at the other end, McGlashan curled an effort wide from 12 yards.
