Bulls boost survival hopes

Hereford picked up a vital 1-0 win over Morecambe to boost their League Two survival hopes.

Lyle Taylor was the Bulls' hero with his second goal in three games to gave Richard O'Kelly his first win as Hereford boss.

The crucial goal came in the 27th minute when Tom Barkhuizen did well to flick a free-kick into the path of Taylor who produced a cool left-foot volley to beat Barry Roche form eight yards out.

Morecambe started well with Jordan Burrow missing a golden opportunity in the seventh minute when he rounded Bulls' keeper Dave Cornell but failed to find the target from the angle.

Taylor then forced Barry Roche into a decent save after a cheeky back heel and Barkhuizen saw a shot from the left well parried by the Morecambe keeper.

The Shrimps dominated the second half but failed to trouble Cornell. Substitute Jack Redshaw missed an open goal with 75 minutes gone and Burrow flashed a close-range shot horribly wide as Morecambe suffered another home defeat.
