McIlroy upbeat despite defeat

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy felt his side were unlucky to lose out 3-2 to Cheltenham Town in their rearranged FA Cup second round tie.

The Shrimps surrendered the lead twice at Christie Park and were eventually edged out by their League One opponents.

However, McIlroy told The Visitor: "I am going to take all the positives.

"I thought we played some lovely stuff against a team from a league above and deserved something.

"The lads were down and flat, but I told them to get their music on because they had nothing to be ashamed of.

"We now have to pick ourselves up for Notts County on Saturday."
