McIlroy plays waiting game

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy says he is in no hurry to make major moves in the transfer market this summer. The Shrimps chief is not expecting to bring in a large number of new players and is prepared to wait to land his preferred targets. He told the club's official website: "I am not looking to make huge changes to the squad, but it has been really busy already with plenty of phone calls. "If you look around a lot of clubs are releasing a lot of players, more than usual it seems. "There are a lot of good players being released as well, which is a sign of the times, but it means there will be more players than ever looking for clubs and it would be foolish to rush into things."
