McIlroy not warming to the weather

Snow and sub-zero temperatures decimated the sporting calendar in December and January. The Shrimps have played just three matches in 2010 and travel to Accrington at the weekend, whose game at home to Barnet on Tuesday night was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. "I've never known anything like it in all my time in management and probably not when I was a player either," McIlroy told the Lancashire Telegraph. "We had the snow and ice and now that's gone we have the rain and it's all getting a bit of a nuisance now. "It's been nothing but a pain for everyone involved in football. It is difficult but you can't do much about it."
