McIlroy looking for improvement

The Shrimps were beaten 1-0 by Gillingham last weekend and are now languishing in 17th place in League Two and now face tough trips to Chesterfield and Accrington in the next week. "We are in a battle. I don't want us to be looking over our shoulders at the teams below us," McIlroy told the Morecambe Visitor. "These are two difficult games and we will have to see what we can do in those. "It was the team on Saturday, it was not about individuals. For me we looked rusty, we were not sharp enough or hungry enough."
