McIlroy lands Terriers duo

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy has snapped up Ian Craney and Phil Jevons on season-long loans from Huddersfield Town.

Craney is a 28-year-old attacking midfielder who made his name at Accrington Stanley while striker Jevons has had a chequered career which has taken in spells with Yeovil Town and Bristol City.

Vice-chairman Graham Hodgson told the Shrimps' official website: "We're absolutely delighted to have secured the services of two quality players who'll bring both ability and experience to the squad.

"The club have been working tirelessly over the summer to add quality to the squad and these two signings have certainly done that."
