McIlroy hails magnificent Shrimps

Phil Jevons, who had a spell on loan with the Shakers last season, bagged a brace to take his tally for the season to 11 as the Shrimps scored all their goals in the final 30 minutes of a game played in atrocious weather conditions. McIlroy said: "It was a fantastic win for us and I thought my lads were magnificent. Bury are a really good side and with awful conditions making good football really difficult, every one of them stuck to their jobs superbly. "We told them that they would have to get in Bury's faces and they did that all game and made life very difficult for them by showing tremendous energy and determination."
