McIlroy hails fantastic Shrimps

First-half goals from Jim Bentley and Phil Jevons earned the Shrimps their first win on the road this season and dragged Crewe to within six points of the drop zone. McIlroy said: "I'm delighted. It was a fantastic performance with two fantastic goals. "To have a good start was great for a change. Jevons took his goal really well. He is unbelievable in the box and it's great to see him score because he has worked his socks off. "When you come to Crewe you have to keep working for 90 minutes and we did that. "Wins breed confidence and we have shown that if we work hard we can give anyone at this level a game."
