Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy has penned a new deal that will keep him at Christie Park until the end of next season.
The former Macclesfield Town and Northern Ireland manager guided the club to promotion from the Conference last term and the Shrimps have made a solid start to their first ever season in the Football League.
Assistant manager Mark Lillis has also agreed a new contract, and McIlroy told the club's official website: "There was no question of us not accepting the offer when it was made.
"I was more than happy to sign on and I'm delighted that Mark Lillis will be with me as well.
"Mark has worked with me for a long time and he knows all about me and how I like to work and we hope we can do all we can to take Morecambe forward.
"These have been exciting times for Morecambe and I've had magnificent support from the board, the players and the fans in my time here.
"To win promotion at Wembley was a wonderful moment that none of us will ever forget and we hope to match that success and make sure Morecambe is a Football League club next year.''
