McIlroy: We should not have lost

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy admitted he was left bitterly disappointed after his side lost 3-2 at play-off rivals Accrington. Stanley midfielder Jimmy Ryan volleyed home from 20 yards seven minutes from time to make it seven league wins in eight games for the Reds and move them up to eighth spot. And McIlroy, whose side are stuttering after making it into the top seven earlier in the campaign, said: "It was a great derby - a but I am disappointed after going ahead twice. "We never seemed able to take control after going ahead and let them back into it too quickly. "We have lost points in our last few games to wonder goals and you can't really do a lot about that. "Barry (Roche) is one of the best keepers in the league and made some great saves but I think he could have done better for the second goal. We just have to carry on though."
