McIlroy to ring the changes

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy could wield the axe when his faltering side travel to his former club Macclesfield. The Shrimps were thumped 3-0 at home by Oxford on Saturday and have now gone eight matches without a win. Striker Danny Carlton recently returned to the club and came on as a second-half substitute at the weekend. He could now push for a starting berth but winger Chris Shuker will be assessed after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury. Goalkeeper Barry Roche said: "We are creating chances, which is good, but we need to be far tighter at the back. "We are in a bit of a fight but I am sure we we have enough experience to get ourselves out of trouble."
