The Shrimps finished 11th last term and there is an optimistic mood sweeping the club as work prepares to start on their new stadium. McIlroy's first aim is to avoid relegation but he is confident his men can push on after last year's impressive campaign. McIlroy said: "Our first aim is to make sure we are a Football League club when we move into the new ground but we are looking to make our mark as well. "We made progress last year and we want to do the same this year. If we do make the same progress this season we will have had a very good year."
