McIlroy rues penalty decision
Boss Sammy McIlroy was furious with the referee in the wake of Morecambe's 3-0 loss to Wycombe.
Wanderers went ahead in the 35th minute through a Scott Rendell penalty after Gareth Ainsworth went down dramatically following a challenge from Garry Hunter.
To add insult to injury, Ainsworth netted himself two minutes later before Rendell wrapped up the points with his second on the stroke of half-time.
McIlroy said: "Garry Hunter is one of the most honest pros you could find and he said there was no contact and if the referee was up with play I'm sure he would have seen that. It was another decision that really went against us because we were the better team until then but that is what happens when you are at the bottom of the table.
"The second goal was a killer and we should have done much better than we did defensively and the third goal before half time probably killed the game. But I have to give my lads credit for the way they played in the second half and they deserved a consolation goal at least.
"They could have rolled over and lost by a greater margin but they didn't and we can take something from the game."
