McIlroy hopeful over Anyon

Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy is hoping to hand goalkeeper Joe Anyon a debut against Bury. Regular first-choice stopper Barry Roche sustained a thigh injury in the first half of the Shrimps' victory over Southend on Saturday and is unlikely to be risked at Gigg Lane. That means Anyon could line up between the posts should his proposed move from npower League Two rivals Lincoln go through in time. Defender Paul Scott is stepping up his fitness but is set to remain absent as he recovers from a knee operation. Saturday`s victory maintained the Shrimps` push away from relegation danger, but McIlroy warned: "It's too early to say we have turned the corner because we have some difficult games coming up."
