McIlroy hails super Shrimps show
Two goals in two minutes were enough to see off the Daggers, who succumbed to two first-half goals from Diarmuid O'Carroll and Stuart Drummond.
The hosts' best chance came in the second period when Matt Ritchie tested Shrimpers goalkeeper Barry Roche.
McIlroy, who won the February Manager of the Month award, said: "We won the game in the first half and showed in the second half the resilience that was needed.
"It's a fantastic result and the lads worked their socks off."
