Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy praised summer signing Andy Fleming after he scored twice on his debut to give the Shrimps a historic win over Championship side Coventry. Fleming, signed from Wrexham, enjoyed a dream start to his Morecambe career with a goal in either half to delight his boss and cap a memorable night as the curtain was raised on the club`s new Globe Arena. McIlroy said: "Andy had a wonderful game and I am delighted for him. He certainly had a day he will never forget and made it a wonderful night for the club. "We were on the back foot for the first 20 minutes or so but after that I thought we were excellent and I don't think anyone can say we didn't deserve it. "Andy will take the headlines and rightly so but every single player was superb and did the club proud. "It was always going to be an historic occasion and it couldn't have really gone any better for everyone. The fans turned out in numbers and I hope many of them will come back on Saturday."
