McIlroy eyes festive push
Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy has called for greater consistency from his side as they enter the hectic festive period.
The Shrimps have languished in the lower reaches of npower League Two since the season began, but a recent victory over high-flying Port Vale breathed new life into their campaign.
McIlroy said: "This season has been a bit hit and miss as far as consistency goes.
"We have had a good result, then a bad result - that's the way things have been going.
"The lapses in concentration is what has cost us dearly this season."
