Lillis: We must sharpen up

Morecambe assistant boss Mark Lillis has urged his side to sharpen up at both ends of the field ahead of this weekend's trip to Oxford. The Shrimps have made a sluggish start to the season, collecting just two points from their opening four npower League Two matches. They fielded an under-strength side in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Macclesfield but were only undone by mistakes of their own making. Lillis said: "We`ve got to start taking our chances when they come along and stop making mistakes at the back and if we do that we will start winning games. "The strength of our squad is clear when you see the team we were able to put out for the Macclesfield game and that will be important as the season progresses."
